Original Ukrainian niche perfumes, created from the idea to the design of the bottle by a single person – Maria Ruban.

Founded in 2023 as a micro-brand. It grew out of the experiment over my own body and is a total venture.

Perfume as an art. Modern Conceptual Art. Perfume as a reflection, as a fixation of the moment. As a way of taking your breath and putting it into glass, turning something non-material into material.

Margie doesn’t make Perfumes can hardly be called minimalist. On the contrary, they always have a transparent hyper-realistic top accord, around which the composition unfolds. Mostly, they are profound, sensual and slightly introverted unisex scents. Resounding to the extend and absolutely wearable. Balancing on the edge of the landscape and gourmet genres, my perfumes are more likely to touch your mind and heart than your stomach.

There is one more detail you should know about. I did not come to the creation of perfumes out of a great love for them, but, on the contrary, out of a great hatred. Having got an intolerable hyperosmia (excessive sensitivity to odours), I had been avoiding direct contact with perfumes until the moment I made the conscious choice to learn how to create fragrances professionally. I have not bought a bottle of perfume, I have not visited a perfume shop. I am only now beginning my journey of discovering iconic scents. My aromas are taken from real life and are pure, filtered ideas of my own thoughts, memories, emotions and feelings. Anything that makes me feel alive. I will try to cork it all up and see what happens.

I am sincerely and heartfully grateful to the amazing indie-perfumer Natya Dishluk for the received knowledge base, without which my journey would be unacceptably long. I am grateful to my colleagues – Ukrainian perfumers, whose support and experience always come in time. I am grateful to my teacher and perfumer Sergey Remez, whose mathematical mind helps me, an academic artist, to look at everything in a more structural way.

I am thankful to you, lovers of olfactory art. After all, your sincere emotions are my gain and my joy.

Yours truly, Margie.
